@ LONGHAIREDGAL - Their listings end with this statement;
"Any profits are donated to the World wide work of Jehovah's Witnesses."
i just came across a pair of jw's on ebay who are flogging off nearly 2000 "religious" items.. is it just me, or are jw's hypocrites when they make cash by selling old light publications which now contain "wrong teachings," or much worse, by selling books etc.
which were created by members of apostate christendom and contain teachings which contradict their self-appointed "faithful slave?
is there a bible example/principle here?.

LOL - they've created a diversion by saying that there's nothing wrong with the slave commenting on Christendom's publications.
My reply:
I never said ANYHING about the slave making comments. I was simply questioning whether such material should be PASSED ON to fellow JW's - let alone SOLD FOR CASH.
Is a brother selling tobacco to earn money, any worse than a brother selling the publications of apostate Christendom?
As witnesses, we're instructed by the slave to NEVER ACCEPT LITERATURE from the folks in Christendom.
But you feel it's OK to MAKE MONEY by SELLING it to other J.W.'s? Sounds reasonable!
I'm sure your conscience is clear - it's a personal choice.

@ stan & zing - you have a PM.
The JW's are getting a bit irked by my subtle questions to them. They now say "We don't care to argue about this anymore." LOL - standard JW response nowadays.
There wasn't any argument, folks!

@ stan & zing - on their eBay page, they declare that they've "been in the truth for over 50 years" and their photo shows them standing at a trolley.

Oh yeah - Acts 19:19 - "Indeed, quite a number of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them up before everybody. And they calculated their value and found them worth 50,000 pieces of silver."
Isn't it perverse - JW congregations have been tossing out their library items and entrepreneurial JW's have been "acquiring" the stuff - to make money out of other JW's. Love for one another? Love for money! :(

@ respectful observer - Malta is saturated with foreigners from EU and eastern European countries since joining the EU several years ago - especially Serbians. (I know, they're not in the EU. Don't ask!)
So it can be seen from the org's wording that they are not looking for foreign language speaking JW's to help convert the immigrants, but rather, to tackle the serious lack/decline in the native Maltese JW numbers.
Good news indeed! :)

Thanks Atlantis. It's good to see the org sticking to the scriptures in order to replicate the wording of the baptismal questions.
(1) “Have you repented of your sins, dedicated yourself to Jehovah, and accepted his way of salvation through Jesus Christ?”
(2) “Do you understand that your baptism identifies you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with Jehovah’s organization?”
These are the exact same questions which Peter asked Cornelius and his household to answer.
You'll find them in Acts 37:45.
i’ve just finished reading your book, couldn’t put it down!
what a great work!
it’s disgusting what the organization does in “god’s name”!!
What did you say, Stan?
by what age should parents stop bathing and wiping their children's bottoms?
when are these actions a definitely no-no?.
Never had to deal with such a scenario - thankfully!
But my best friend who is a house-husband, eventually ceased this process for his two little daughters by the time they were 3-4 years old. Trained them quite quickly to do it for themselves.
Which reminds me: I used to get quite embarrassed sometimes when I was out with my mother and I needed to pee. She'd stand me at the edge of the pavement/sidewalk, pull down my trousers and underpants, and get me to pee in the gutter. I'd complain to her, "Mum, stop doing this to me. I'm twenty six years old now!"
